Obituary for Shelby Jean Shelton

Shelby Jean Shelton “maw” 80 of Chesapeake passed away Monday , March 13, 2017 after a short illness . Shelby was born in July of 1936 an grew up in Twilight WV.
She was preceded in death by her husband James “Buddy” Shelton, sister Alma Ratcliff
And brothers Paul, Russe and Archie Workman.
Shelby is survived by sons, Freddie Workman of Danville, Bobby of Hernshaw, Randy of Hansford, David of Chesapeake, Micheal of Minnesota, Gary of Chesapeake and daughter Lynn of Chesapeake, sisters, Arbutus Workman an Esta Jarrell of Danville and Augusta White of Pond Gap as well as 9 grand children, 22 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild, several nieces and nephews along with a host of friends. Shelby dearly loved cooking and feeding family and friends. She also enjoyed shopping, boating, fishing and swinging on her front porch and traveling to Myrtle Beach as well as spending all her time with her grandchildren.
Visitation will be held at Pryor Funeral Home on Thursday March 16th from 6 to 8 pm and Funeral Service will follow on Friday March 17 at 1pm with Rev. Tommy Holstien and Rev. Daniel Kelly officiating with burial in Kanawha Valley Memorial Gardens
