Obituary for Harry Richo

Harry  Richo
Harry “Paw Paw” Richo, 88, of East Bank went home to be with the Lord June 30, 2016.

Harry was a member of the Crown Hill Freewill Baptist Church. He was retired from the State of WV, was a Volunteer Fireman with the East Bank Volunteer Fire Department with 67 years service, and was an Air Force Veteran. Harry was longtime employee of Pryor Funeral Home.

Harry was the son of the late Harry and Verna Richo. He was preceded in death by his wife, Lillian; sister, Iris Blair; and a brother, Josie.

Left to cherish his memory are his children, Janet Richo of East Bank, Karen Colagrosso (Richard) of Lexington, North Carolina, and Harry Richo II (Laura) of South Charleston; grandchildren, Brittany, Kylie, and Kennedy; step-grandchildren, Amanda, Vincent, and Jessy; and many nieces and nephews.

Service will be Noon Sunday, July 3 at Pryor Funeral Home, East Bank with Pastor Carll Pomeroy officiating. Burial will follow in Kanawha Valley Memorial Gardens, Glasgow.

A gathering of family and friends will be 6-8pm Saturday, July 2 at the funeral home.

Special thanks to the East Bank Volunteer Fire Department and also to Harry’s caregivers, Brenda Shanklin, Curtis Kirk, and Angie Jones.

In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be made to the Crown Hill Freewill Baptist Church Youth.
